Step by step Pattern

  • Notes: The body is worked in one piece to armholes.
  • Ch 2 at the beg of the row does not count as hdc.
  • Ribbing: With smaller hook, ch 10.
  • 1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of the chain. Turn. 8 hdc.
  • 2nd row: Ch 2. Work 1 hdc in horizontal bar created below st in the previous row (the bar is below loops normally worked on WS-see diagram) in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
  • Rep last row until Ribbing (when slightly stretched) measures 21 (22- 23-24)” [53.5 (56-58.5-61) cm], ending on a WS row. Do not turn. Change to a larger hook and proceed as follows:
  • Body: 1st row: (WS). Ch 1. Working across the straight side edge of ribbing, work 67 (71-75-79) sc evenly across the edge. Turn.
  • 2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in first sc. Bobble in next sc. *1 hdc in each of the next 3 sc. Bobble in next sc. Rep from * to last sc. 1 hdc in last sc. Turn.
  • 3rd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn.

  • 2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn.
