Step By Step Pattern

Materials

Yarn of your choice in 3 different colours (body, shell, underbelly)
Safety eyes
Crochet hook
Stuffing
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitch market

Using Bernat Velvet yarn, a 4.5mm hook, and 8mm safety eyes, the finished turtle is about 3.5 inches long and 2 inches tall.

Note: I highly recommend using a stitch marker for this pattern, especially when making the shell, to align the head and legs.

Making Guide

Head (with body colour)

R1) Magic circle with 6 sc (6)
R2) inc x6 (12)
R3-4) sc around (12)
R5) *sc, Dec* x4 (8)

Stuff the head well and insert the eyes between R2 and R3 on either side of the head. Fasten off and weave in the tail.

Shell (with shell color)
